Airways and America West Announced Merger
US Airways Group, Inc. and America West Holding Corp. have
announced a proposed merger that will expand service and
create more choice for customers across the country, as
well as enhance opportunities for Dividend Miles members
to earn and redeem miles for travel and upgrades.

its machinists' union remained snagged over pension issues
